So on Wednesday we went to Sremska Mitrovica to do a "Return and Report" meeting. It is a thing where 6 weeks in we go and all of the greenies are interviewed by President, then we give everyone a report of how its been and we are assigned a 5 minute lesson last minute to do in Serbian. They had 2 meetings though, one in Slovenia, so some of the Croatians went there. It was really awesome. I had a good time and I learned a bit too. And when the lesson came, I was really nervous at first but then after a few sentences I just didn't really care and talked. And it went super well! I was really pumped because it felt good even though it was in front of a group of people which I am not the biggest fan of.
The next day we did a Red Cross service project from rise until 3 in the afternoon. We put together and packed 400 hygiene kits for Gypsy kids. It went really well and the morning flew by. While we were working I got a call from President and Sister Grant. They asked me how the flight and everything was and I told them it was good. Then they told me that they were really impressed with my lesson that I gave in Sremska and that my Serbian was very good and they were impressed that it was that good after only a month and a half. So that was a huge confidence booster because I hadn't felt like I had any massive improvements since I have been here. They told me that that was the reason they called and to have a good day, which I thought was funny but I really was glad that it came because it made me feel good.
Friday was another big walking day. We did a little bit of stuff for my visa and then contacted and walked the whole day. We got one referral from the elders in Sremska which is cool! We contacted him and he said he could meet up every day after 6. He has been to church and watched General Conference, and read every pamphlet. The only problem is that he lives way out there. Like on the outskirts of Podgorica. But it is on our side of the river so we can make it work, the only problem is that the church is way far away. But it will be good.
Saturday was probably the best day this week. We had a lesson in the morning, then cleaned the church, and then we had another lesson with the coolest people ever from English Class. They are probably our best friends here and we got together because we made a deal. Every Saturday we will have lunch together, switching off who makes lunch. They will make us local food and we will make them American food. Then while we eat we get to teach them a lesson. So there are three of them and they made us Punina Paprika (stuffed peppers) which was SO GOOD! The lesson was amazing and I feel like we are so chill with them. Next week we are gonna make them chilli and cornbread and honey butter and pancakes (they want to try maple syrup and we found some maple extract in our apartment which is awesome because it pretty much doesn't exist here). So it will be a blast.
Sunday we had 2 investigators show up at church that we talked to at the Red Cross project. They are higher up business women and they said they would come but we weren't really expecting it too much because they work a lot. But they came and said they want to come in future weeks because they have a lot of questions and they don't work on Sundays! So that is exciting.
That's about it for this week it was busy and it flew by. The transfer ends in 2 weeks which is INSANE because I just got here. It is so great out here and I love Montenegro and even the food is supposedly the worst in the Balkans as far as non homemade, I don't have anything to compare it too other than the MTC so it's pretty great for me! Have a great week everyone stay sweet!
