It was a great week, lots of finding, driving, prepping for Zone Conference (which was successful by the way, and included wall sits), and partying with my lep grk companion, and although we didn't see too much success in our companionship personally our zone was filled with awesomeness! We are working hard and the mission is great! Love you all party on!
So we had a busy week with an exchange with the Zagreb elders and the Zadar elders. Both were a lot of fun. The first one was busy and the highlight is definitely the fact that we played ball with an investigator then there was a track next to the courts so after we did 100m sprints. My legs still hurt haha. That's partly due to the fact that for the next exchange i was doing a lot of travel since i came back to KV for it. Saturday was 8 hours on a bus and it was rough to the max. But we got in some good contacting and found a cool guy! Also we had a lesson with the dad of the member I mentioned a while back and it went really well. We talked about the gospel and doctrine of Christ and it was great. That's about it, other than that just a lot of finding. Have a good one!
Ore wa zajkjo!!!
It was a good week, had an exchange in Zadar with my greenie Elder Winfield, hes doing great. We did a lot of finding this week, per norm and it was pretty fun. We set up a return lesson with one guy so that's a success! Also I bought ties for about 13 cents a piece so that's another success! I had breakfast this morning with David Archuleta as well so that was fun, he's a good singer. Low on time but I love you all, have a good one!
wo bu džr dao
Well the next time i see my families faces it will be uživo, so thats a new development in my missionary life. It was good to see them, happy mothers day again to the best mom eva! To commemorate this event imma make a rap.
I talked with my family yesterday over skype,
my little sis alyssa about broke her windpipe
because she was crying so hard when i hung up
the fam was taking long so i made it abrupt
but its ok cuz ill see them pretty soon
i have only 3 more months til i rock out to the tune
of the waves in the pool crashing down on the deck
ill be swimming for the winnin like i got a blank check
but in the mean time imma preach the joyful news
which means the gospel for those of you that didnt get the clue
and the work here is Joyful, fun, and pretty sick
so were making a gospel impression thats gonna stick
Also this week we had an exchange with the osijek elders and it was fun. I got to work with my BG buddy elder Davis and it was tight. Then we had a meeting in Zagreb on Saturday which was good, we focused ont he gospel of Jesus Christ and it was very educational and I learned dosta.
I love you all have a good one! the church is true, the book is blue, peace!
Well we had a lot of finding time this week in the rain. An exchange was postponed, but we have one with the Osijek elders tomorrow which will be fun. 2 sick success stories of the week though. 1) the sisters had a baptism and the guys brother came and he's super sick and we are gonna try to teach him, he seemed really open. 2) at the baptism I was talking to a member and he said his dad is really open to the gospel and wanting us to come visit, so we are going over later today! We met with him once but he was busy so it wasn't a great lesson but we are stoked for this next one. We are just workin' hard here, everything is going well and its lots of fun. Love you all, party on!
PS I'm the branch pianist here now haha cuz the missionaries that can play piano refuse so I learned some hymns and I played at the baptism and sacrament meeting. And at sacrament meeting I messed up in every verse of every song I played. Its comin though haha. My mom was right. Dang it. Peace!
I had an exchange in Rijeka this week and it was great. Then Elder Mangeris the stud and I contacted a lot and just had fun with that. We didn't really have much planned so it was a lot of good finding time. Then I gave a talk on Sunday about the sacrament. Then we had Zone Conference today and it was pretty good. I told a story about when we went river rafting and Brother Lasater and Wulfenstien went crazy and we destroyed Libby and the other rafts. Haha. Good stuff. Well, I don't have time because of conference, but I'm doing great, I love you all, I hope you're doing good things. Peace!
It was a totally serendipitous week! On Monday I said some goodbyes and had a missionary in a threesome for the night, then made the drive from Belgrade to Zagreb on Tuesday morning. When we got there I laid my eyes on my beautiful Greek companion Elder Mangeris and it was just a good moment of my life. We bused to Karlovac and had a lesson over skype with some people in Switzerland and it was a pretty good lesson. We ended up calling a huge audible but it all turned out fine and the family we taught is tight out of sight. I got to meet a new English class and do a lot of contacting, then we had a meeting in Zagreb on Friday and Saturday. It was long, but good stuff was said and a lot was learned. Elder Mangeris and I had to teach the plan of salvation in front of everybody but its okay, because we were prepared! Church was fun too, my comp gave a talk on sacrifice and I taught the priesthood lesson on consistent revelation through living prophets and it went fine. I didn't have to give a talk my first week though! That comes... next week haha. The members here are super cool and it was a good time meeting them. The area is beautiful, its SUPER green and all the buildings are peppered with bullet holes which is sick. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with the transfer call I got and I'm already having a blast with it. This mission is the sickest. I love you all, have a great week, its getting warm so go swimming for me! Party on!
Well, transfer calls came out and I'm headed back to Croatia, to a city called Karlovac. I'm stoked cuz my comp is elder Mangeris, the other lep grk in the mission. Its gonna be a blast. The week finished with a nice dinner at a members and the whole week was just a good one to finish. Its crazy that I've been 6 months here in BG and I'm really sad to leave, but excited for whats ahead. We are helping with transfers so I don't have much time but I love you all, and have a good week!
So this week was legit. We had Conference and obviously that was full of personal revelation and spiritual rejuvenation. The highlight of the week though was for sure our trip to Nis. My companion and I, along with the senior couple, got to drive down to Nis and Leskovac and visit members there because there isn't a branch there. We met up with three members in Nis who were all studs. They are so strong and I admire them because they don't even have a branch at all, they just watch the broadcast of the Belgrade sacrament service. Then we went to Leskovac and visited the family that I helped translate for over Skype that were living in Germany but moved back. They were stoked to see us, and they're going through a rough time right now because there have been floods in southern Serbia, but they are being super strong.
In other news this is the last week of the transfer, and next week I will prolly leave Belgrade. Haos. We will see though. The Balkans are the best, by the people i'm impressed, so don't be too stressed cuz my mission is the best.
Also I ate some ham jello that was just straight fat for the jello part this week. I avoided puking by shoving a large quantity of bread in my mouth with it. It was great. Just thought y'all would like to know.
Don't have much time, but in a nutshell the week was great, we had Zone Conference on Wednesday and it was 2 legit 2 quit. Over the weekend I got sick which was rough but I'm doing a lot better now. We contacted a lot, and just preaching the word! Love you all!
